CHARLESTON, W.Va. − The Legislative Task Force on State Code Chapter 18 (Education) and Chapter 18A (School Personnel) will have an open forum at Capital High School on Tuesday, September 28 at 6:00 PM.

The Forum, hosted by Task Force Chairperson Delegate Joshua Higginbotham, will have an open discussion on these two sections of State Code. Some items in Chapter 18-18A include the calendar, certification, class size, continuing contracts, duty free lunch, pay and equity, grievance procedure, extra-curricular activities, salary classification, seniority, lesson plans, planning periods, local share/levies, job postings, layoff and transfer, school aid formula, class size, substitute pay/retirees and closings and consolidations.

It is important to have the voice of educators heard at the forum. Make sure you come out and participate in this important discussion.
