Principal Jody Sowards at Huntington East Middle School received the honor of Superintendent’s Superhero. Sowards was nominated by Don Pennington, HEMS Assistant Principal, for his heroic act in saving a student’s life. Sowards administered CPR to the student and was the main contributing factor for the student’s survival. He was also presented WSAZ’s Hometown Hero Award. Three cheers for our superhero!
