Educators’ Voices Must Be Heard

CHARLESTON, W.Va. − The following remarks were made by WVEA President Dale Lee during the State Board of Education meeting on Wednesday, January 12, 2022.

“Lawmakers want to redesign education without listening to our educators who are the experts. Our educators must have a seat at the table while education policies are discussed and made because they provide a tremendous amount of knowledge. The opportunity is to listen to the ideas of the education experts and then get them funded,” Lee said.

“Our educators’ voices must be heard to have a positive change for every student in West Virginia,” Lee emphasized.
