Holiday Food Drive helps those in Need

HANCOCK COUNTY – WVEA members, Gail Creel and Morgan Bricker from Weir High School held a food collection drive with the student council last week. They accepted non-perishable food items to help those less fortunate have a nice holiday meal.

The food drive also serves as a Weir Spirit War battle. Classes compete in various battles throughout the year, and the class that wins earns a reward at the end of the year. For the food drive battle, the grade that donates the most food wins.

WVEA would like to thank everyone involved in helping our community! Is there a good deed happening in your school we can feature in the next Today? Let us know at jveres@wvea.org. Put Good Deed! in the subject line.
