Local BOE Letters to Governor


WVEA local affiliates across the state are going to their local boards of education in November and December. They are sharing copies of the WV School Journal and a sample letter to Governor Tomblin. The letter supports WVEA’s Competitive Pay Campaign and asks the Governor to continue the work toward the goal of a $43,000 starting salary by 2019.

Below is a list of County Boards of Education that have sent a letter to Governor Tomblin in support of the Competitive Pay Campaign. Others will be added as they sign the letter.

At the November interims (November 17-19), WVEA staff are delivering copies of the WV School Journal to all legislators and are mailing copies to those newly-elected legislators.

During the December interims, we will be coordinating an e-mail blitz to all current and newly-elected legislators.
