CHARLESTON, W.Va. − During the State Board of Education’s meeting on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, WVEA President Dale Lee had a challenge for himself and the state board. “The challenge is for us to spend a day in the classroom with the educators. Not just a 30-minute walk through, but to go and do everything an educator does during the day,” said President Dale Lee.
The board often passes policies but doesn’t actually know how it impacts educators. “It would be eye-opening to see how the impacts are felt in the classroom but also to see what our educators go through and the drive they have to help their students succeed. You have plenty of time to get it set up. I hope to see you in classrooms this fall,” said President Dale Lee.
